Robert A. White

(1928-2022)

Mr. White was one of the founding attorneys of Dunwody White & Landon, P.A. He attended college at The Virginia Military Institute from which he obtained a B.A. Degree and from which he was a Distinguished Military Graduate. Following service in the United States and Germany as an officer in the Field Artillery during the Korean conflict, he obtained his Law Degree from the University of Virginia where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review.

Mr. White practiced for many years as a partner in a large South Florida law firm where he specialized in estate planning and the administration of estates, trusts and guardianships.  Mr. White was a long time Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and he had been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for decades. He had also been active in Bar Association work, having served on the Board of Directors and President of The Dade County Bar Association; and also as Chairman of the Dade County Bar Probate and Guardianship Committee.

Mr. White was active in community affairs. He was a Senior Member and a Past President of the Orange Bowl Committee. He also served as a Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Dade Community Foundation and as a Director and President of the Southeast Division of the Children’s Home Society of Florida.

Mr. White was married and had four children and six grandchildren.
